Fr. John Serio

Salesian Lenten mission

To further cultivate a stronger spiritual life , through prayer and reflection,  Fr. Serio gave a series of Lenten Mission Lectures on March 29 and March 30, in the Main Church.

The three lectures were well attended, attracting an audience that covered generations from Traditionalists and Baby Boomers all the way through Gen Z teens and young adults.

Highlights

Below are some of the highlights of the Lectures:

  • God's unconditional and individual love for us
  • various ways to pray, including the Ignatian Examen of Consciousness prayer
  • the comforting message that God eagerly awaits our return to confession, be it after a month or thirty years.

Sacred Heart of Jesus
June 1, 2025
This blog post for June encourages devotion to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. It explains that this devotion invites believers to contemplate God's immense love, symbolized by Christ's pierced and burning heart, which led to His ultimate sacrifice. The post encourages readers to respond to this love by deepening their intimacy with Christ and suggests practices such as daily prayers to the Sacred Heart or participating in the First Friday devotion
