St. Anthony Relic Tour

Church of the Madonna will welcome two relics of St. Anthony of Padua on June 15th, Saturday.

The relics are brought from the Basilica of St. Anthony in Italy.

The Rev. Alessandro Ratti will bring the relics in two holy objects from Italy containing a fragment of St. Anthony’s rib in one and layers of skin from the saint’s cheek in the other.

Anthony of Padua was a Portuguese Catholic friar belonging to the Franciscan Order. He is the patron saint of lost things, and Catholics are urged to ask for his intercession for more than the loss of material things, but also for the loss of faith, family harmony, health, hope, peace of mind and trust in others.

He died in Padua, Italy, in 1231, where he is buried.
