Stewardship
Stewardship
is both a concept and a way of life. It is important for our
spiritual growth as Catholics. It is a way of thanking God for
all the blessings we have received by returning to God a portion
of our time, talent and treasure.
Sharing
of our time involves being with God in prayer and worship and
volunteering our time in the church and community activities
that help others. Sharing out talent involves using our skills,
our abilities, our knowledge and our accomplishments for the
service of the church and those in need.
Specific opportunities to share our time and talents with our
parish community are identified in this brochure under the Christian
Service, Education and Worship Commissions.
Sharing
our treasure involves contributing financially to the weekly
offering of one's faith community. This process is simplified
at Madonna through utilization of envelopes issued at the time
of registration. Members are also encouraged to participate
in periodic Archdiocesan-wide appeals.
