Madonna Catechists Attend Annual Convocation and Catechist Lou Morrell Honored For 20 Years of Service!

On Saturday, November 4, several Madonna Parish catechists (religious formation teachers) attended the annual Catechetical Convocation at Paramus Catholic High School organized by the Archdiocese of Newark Catechetical Office.

With over 30 workshops offered, catechists from parishes and Catholic schools across the diocese learned numerous methods and tools, new and traditional, to help grow and evangelize children and multi-generational families.

The day started with prayers led by Cardinal Joseph Tobin. After thanking the catechists for their unending love and dedication to helping families grow in their faith, a small group of catechists were honored for 20 years or more of volunteer service to their parishes.

Our very own Lou Morrell was among the honorees. She’s pictured above (blue blouse), and you can see the video of her receiving the gift and award from Cardinal Tobin below. She is seen at time code 1:10.

Please join us in congratulating Lou and thanking all of our catechists for their service!
