EDUCATION
COMMISSION
The
Education Commission helps all parishioners understand the teachings
of the Catholic Church and to accept, as part of the larger
communion, responsibility for promoting the teaching mission
of the Church. The Commission has the responsibility of developing,
promoting and evaluating religious education programs.
RCIA
(Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) The way our faith
community prepares, welcomes and receives adults into the Catholic
Church. Sessions held on Saturday mornings at either Madonna
or St Gregory the Great, November through Easter Vigil.
Adult
Bible Study: At Madonna; sessions held the 3rd and 4thWednesday
morning of each month, from 10 to 11. At St. Gregory the Great,
sessions held every Wednesday evening at 6.
Children's
Church: The Liturgy of the Word presented and discussed
during Sunday Masses with children in language and activities
specific to their age group.
Candle
Kids: Providing youth (5-12) opportunities for catechism,
Christian fellowship and service through Madonna and the greater
community.
MYLOT(Madonna
Young Leaders of Tomorrow) Providing youth (13-18) opportunities
for catechism, leadership training, Christian fellowship and
service through Madonna, Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) and
the greater community.
Membership
is open to all children.
Sacramental
Preparation Classes
Faith formation classes for children in preparation for First
Reconciliation, First Eucharist and Confirmation. Contact the
Parish Office for schedule.
